Upper Mill Creek Falls - Waterfall - Mason-Dixon Trail

Upper Mill Creek Falls

Upper Mill Creek Falls is located just off the Mason-Dixon Trail between Lock 12 and Holtwood Dam. I love photographing waterfalls, and although my family and I often hike along the Susquehanna River in both Lancaster and York counties, I only learned of this spot a few years ago. It has become one of my favorite waterfalls to photograph. I often find that the smaller waterfalls are the most photogenic, and this waterfall has it in spades. Between the rhododendron surrounding it, to the moss that always seems to be green (even in the winter when the ice melts) it always seems to deliver magic.
