Anyone who loves nature or outdoor photography has had to make the tough decision to go or not go. It seems as though every other time I go to Ricketts Glen, I end up with blaring sun…..so I took a chance on a day that had a chance of showers. I have to admit that I had my doubts as I was just starting down the trail and it was so wet. Most of my equipment isn’t waterproof and by this time my pack was already pretty damp. Whether it be from rain or the breeze knocking the droplets off the canopy of trees, I couldn’t tell.

This is a picture of the Highland Trail which connects both the Ganoga Glen and Glen Leigh portions of the Falls Trail, and is usually the first leg of my hike at Ricketts Glen.
