Bloodroot (Sanguinaria Canadensis) is my favorite wildflower. It seems as though it’s a plant that as been here since the dawn of time. A single flower on top of a stem, with a single leaf surrounding it. As a spring ephemeral, it’s only around for a short period of time in early spring.
